The best destinations for a luxury honeymoon

As fun as planning the wedding and the dance party is, the best part of the wedding is once it’s over and you can soak it up with the love of your life on the most romantic trip of your life. .

Whether you’re planning your future life together or laughing at your drunken uncle’s dance moves the night before, there’s nothing better than lying on the beach sipping on some fresh coconut water and looking at each other with the eyes of the heart because you can finally call your love “husband” or “wife”.

And if you’re anything like us, your honeymoon will spark your shared sense of wanderlust and mark the start of a lifetime of travel together.

Here are some of the best destinations for a luxury honeymoon, because let’s face it, you deserve to start your life together in a luxurious way!

    Bora Bora, French Polynesia

    Four Seasons Bora Bora
    Four Seasons Bora Bora

We are almost sure that Bora Bora is the universe’s premier honeymoon destination. But maybe that’s because we’re biased. Well, we are definitely biased, as this is where we spent our honeymoon.

We still consider our overwater bungalow, number 224, at the Four Seasons our first home. The Four Seasons Bora Bora treats you like kings and queens. You won’t have to lift a finger, and if you want to leave your bungalow, you’ll be picked up by golf cart and dropped off anywhere in the resort.

In your bungalow overlooking the water, you can take a bath looking at the perfectly turquoise water or jump from your terrace to swim with the fish. Don’t miss going on an adventure, diving with sharks and kissing stingrays. You can also just gaze at the beautiful island and crystal clear water.

    Zighy Bay, Oman

We came across Zighy Bay when researching potential destinations for our own honeymoon. Unique is not the word to describe this place. There is only one hotel in Zighy Bay, Six Senses, but there are several ways to get there.

You and your new spouse can choose to arrive at the hotel by 4×4, speed boat or paraglider. Talk about a grand entrance!

Besides the amazing honeymoon villas with private pools, you are surrounded by the ocean on one side and the stunning mountains on the other. To top off this Middle Eastern honeymoon destination, the food is to die for!

    Practical advice
Be careful not to plan your honeymoon in the height of summer, when the sun is scorching.

    Nairobi, Kenya

No, the photo above is not photoshopped. Yes, your honeymoon can be interrupted by giraffe kisses. But we guarantee that your stay at Giraffe Manor in Nairobi’s upscale Karen district will be one of the best experiences of your life.

The mansion has a classic Old English style and will give you both time to have private romantic dinners and less peaceful breakfasts accompanied by a giraffe or two or three. But Kenya has much more to offer than the Giraffe Mansion.

So spend most of your honeymoon on safari outside of Nairobi in the Maasai Mara or north in Laikipia because is there anything more romantic than watching the sunset behind some of the most unique animals in the world?

    Santorini, Greece

One of the many Greek islands formed by a massive volcanic eruption a few thousand years ago, Santorini is one of the most beautiful honeymoon destinations. From breathtaking views, to whitewashed rooftops, to top notch vineyards, you won’t want to leave.

Wake up early and enjoy the sunrise or go on a sailing adventure with your love, and we promise you won’t be able to wipe the smile off your face. If you are interested in island hopping…

you have the stunning islands of Mykonos and Crete nearby, where the water is just as blue!

    Pine Cay, Turks and Caicos

The water in Turks and Caicos is almost as perfectly blue as the water in Bora Bora. And the private island of Pine Cay, which spans 800 acres, has the most beautiful beach three kilometers of white sand.

The island has only one hotel, the Meridian Club, which is the perfect combination of seclusion, tranquility and relaxation. Be sure to request the Sand Dollar Cottage for your honeymoon, as it offers both seclusion and romance and is right on the beach.

The Meridian Club prides itself on “barefoot luxury”, so you won’t have to worry about wearing shoes to dinner! Consider getting a diving certificate before you go, as the Turks and Caicos Islands sit on the third largest barrier reef in the world, just after Australia and Belize.

    Fernando de Noronha, Brazil

For couples willing to support an economy that takes serious care of its environment, Fernando de Noronha is the honeymoon destination for you. Think Kauai of the Southern Hemisphere.

Of the 21 islands that make up the archipelago, seventy percent have been declared a national park.

In fact, it’s so secluded that the luxury hotel, Pousada Maravilha, is the only one of its kind in the area, and the government limits the number of visitors who can come to the island, so you won’t have no need to worry about overcrowding or clichés.

This paradise island is not about to disappear.

The world is full of beautiful honeymoon destinations that blow our minds, and it’s obvious that where you go for your honeymoon will be your new favorite place in the world.

Wherever you decide to go on your honeymoon, make sure it’s a place where you can do what you love to do and spend uninterrupted quality time together.
